You will more than likely also experience itching or aching during the act of urination and even sexual intercourse. Some other symptoms include some discharge from the penis which will also make the penis appear redder.

Another common type of yeast infection among men is an oral yeast infection. This is often referred to as thrush and you will notice that you will have white lesions in the mouth or in the throat. These white bumps usually appear on the tongue or on the inside of the cheek and sometimes in the back of the throat. They can also appear on the gums, or tonsils. These white bumps are extremely painful and can even bleed if they are damaged. You will notice that they bleed when you brush your teeth.

One other common type of yeast infection among males is an internal yeast infection. This usually occurs within the intestines and there are a number of symptoms of the infection including constipation, a feeling of fatigue; especially after eating, diarrhoea, sexual problems and even some external yeast infections such as athlete’s foot. You might also realise that you have mood swings as well as a craving for sweet foods such as sweets and chocolate. The reason for this is that the internal yeast infection feeds on sugary foods so cutting these out will help to prevent the infection for worsening.

Of course, some men will not show any kind of symptoms for a yeast infection until later on in the infection where more severe symptoms will appear.
